Blocked texts are still appearing in Google Messages — how do I fix this?

This happens when Call Triage is not set as your default SMS app. Only the default SMS app can fully suppress texts from appearing in other apps. Go to Settings → Protection Status and tap "Enable Complete SMS Blocking" to set Call Triage as your default SMS app and fully suppress blocked texts from all apps.

Spam calls are still getting through — what should I check?

Check the Protection Status card in Settings. If Call Screening or the phone permission shows as inactive, tap to re-enable it. Make sure Protection Mode is set to "Calls & Texts" or "Calls Only." For private/restricted numbers, enable "Block Unknown Callers."

Can I block a range of numbers at once using a pattern?

Yes. When adding a number, tap "Number Pattern" in the form. Use * to match any sequence of digits and x to match a single digit. For example: 1800* blocks all 1-800 numbers, and 555xxxx blocks any 7-digit number starting with 555.
